Women's Cricket matches go as far as to the 18th century, when on 26th century 1745 a match was organized between the villages Bramley and Hambledon.
The first Women's test match was played between England and Australia in December 1934. It was in 1958 that International Women's Cricket Council to serve the interests of the Women Cricketers. Subsequently the first Cricket World Cup for Women was organized in England in 1973. England emerged as winners.
In 2005, the eighth Women's Cricket World Cup took place. It was won by Australia.
The ten countries which have women test teams are- Australia, India, New Zealand, Australia, England, Pakistan, South Africa, West Indies Ireland and Netherlands.
