Kyle Mills first came into the spotlight with the World Cup 2003. his next significant match was for the England tour in 2004 where he made his debut in the third Test at Trent Bridge. However, Mills picked up a side strain during the game and was forced to fly home and miss the NatWest Series. Mills is a tradesman from the traditionally hard-working New Zealand model, but he complements that with more than useful skills as a batsman. He chieved his first 10-wicket haul of his career, and in the process notched up 100 first-class wickets, for Auckland in December 2004. At the present he appears more in one-day games than the Test arena.
